I legged my IPA last night and I ended up with an ABV of 6.9. This I way too high. Can/should I just add a few liters of water to my keg to bring this down? I think I boiled too much water off during the boil because I'm probably at about only 4.5 gallons. The extra water would also benefit me by giving me more volume. Is this a viable option?

I wouldn't. Take an OG next time and add water back after boiling if that happens.

That's not what I wanted to hear, but you may be right.
