I have a pound of local organic cranberries I might want to add to my essential oil mead that has cinnamon orange and clove

How do you add these? Boil for a min or two or soak in starsan? Or just add them As is?

Or is it better to freeze them first?

Also adding them to secondary is the preferred method right?

If you're adding them to secondary and you've had a healthy ferment, you can pretty much rely on the alcohol to deal with any intruders, so sanitizing the berries isn't too much of an issue. That being said, if you still want to sanitize them I'd give them a quick boil.
