My wonderful wife wrote this today for my brewing forum friends from us.

Away down in Hamilton
No work, just all play
Time to brew for
The Christmas holiday

The grains have been measured
The water is ready
The process begun
Slow and quite steady

The mash tun is done
And the sparging complete
Ramping up the kettle
With some serious heat

Throughout the house
There is a wonderful scent
The smell of the boiling
Before the ferment

The house is alive with
The aroma of hops
Cleaning the mash tun of
The last of the slops

The gravity is perfect
The boiling has ceased
It’s time for the transfer
And then add the yeast

Another batch made
Very glad do I feel
And now it’s time
For a pint and a meal

The fermenters are bubbling
With batches of cheer
There is never enough
Of our wonderful beer

Enjoy all your brews
And stay out of the weather
Merry Christmas to all
From us, Ben and Heather
