I have a food grade metal drum could i use that to ferment in? It was used for welches grape juice concentrate

Well shouldn't be a problem. Just remember to have a blow off valve or something to let the pressure buildup out

Make sure its stainless steel not just food grade mild steel.

Stainless is fine but mild steel can cause flavour problems as most ferments are quite acidic......

If it is stainless then you're good to go......

Something like these:

Drum Liners

10 mil would be nice and sturdy.
I'm sure there are other sources. They have been mentioned here on HBT.

I used to get chemical shipments in plastic "salvage" drums and they always contained the merchandise in a heavy bag/liner. Those were bright yellow.

Use one of those large, heavy duty food-grade plastic bags as a liner. Also helps with sanitation.

Well...then in reality, the drum wouldn't need to be food grade, right? If not, then I have some barrels that would definitely get some use.
