I brewed a pumpkin ale with 8 cans of libbys pure pumpkin (14#) :ban:. Its been 2 weeks since brewday and I cannot taste any pumpkin in my beer which is currently in the secondary. Has anyone else had this issue? I thought that using such a large amount of pumpkin would impart more flavor, but I guess not? It has a very sweet aroma and spicy flavor from the pumpkin pie spice.

Pumpkin really doesn't have a lot of flavor. Most of the flavor comes from the spices. From what I hear anyway.

I think you should toss some spices in there to get the flavor you want. I hope it works out.

I would make a spice tea and add it to your keg/bucket. Add a little at a time and sample it till you get the flavor you are looking for. Just a cup of hot watter and a tsp or two of pumpkin pie spice should do it.
