I got this Vigoro 200 ft soft garden twine initially but am thinking of replacing it with some 1/4" sisal instead. Am I just being paranoid or is it likely the soft twine won't survive the season?
Is my twine sturdy enough?

For a first year plant, you should be just fine with what you have. I used the cheap, white kite string for my first year plants and didn't have any problems. Mine are now on their 4th year of growth and I went with the 1/4" sisal rope.
