Yesterday the batteries in my cordless optical mouse... 2 AAs as it were... died.
So I got new ones.
I discarded the old ones (I shudder to think what happens to batteries when you throw them out) and put one of the two in. The mouse started working! On one out of 2 batteries.
So I'm just going to use the one battery. And if that one dies I'll replace it with another 1 battery.
Not sure how this is going to work or if I will be able to get more battery life out of the mouse... but I feel like all this time I have been suckered into using twice as many batteries as I need.
I suspect foul play.
