    Im considering a STC-1000 for temp control for a keezer project just not having a full understanding of the heat side, I mean is it for fermenter heaters in cold climates?     will someone explain Decoction Mashing in laymans terms, Ive read a couple articles on it but does not make sense to me, from what I gathered it meant to boil a part of the mash? is that with the grains? if so how much? boil grains? wouldnt that extract tannins? I dont get it.

    March Pump mounting

    Ive read on here that most everyone prefers to mount the inlet side down, now maybe physics wasnt my best subject but wouldnt the gravity fill the pump head easier if the inlet was up? can someone please explain this to me before I mount it?
