Help with a DPST rocker switch

My bad fellas. I made this for a buddy for his birthday. He made the trip down to visit and I gave it to him. His dad will know how to get it working. I wish I would have snapped some photos. Sorry. Thanks for all the feedback!

Chilling THROUGH the IC with ice bucket?

Thanks for the feed back guys. This would also seem to be an issue when running a HERMS system.

Chilling THROUGH the IC with ice bucket?

Good advice there HHDC. Thanks. My other question is how do you clear the lines of the chiller and hoses? As soon as the kettle is dry the dip tube is just sucking air. Then the pump stops working and you have all those lines full of wort. I was hoping someone had a fix for that. I think...

Chilling THROUGH the IC with ice bucket?

So a buddy and I decided to try and chill 10 gallons of wort with his 50' copper chiller my immersing the chiller in a bucket of ice water. Then using his chugger pump we ran the wort of from the kettle and into the chiller. It was coming out of the chiller at 70 degrees. Only question was...

    Soldering Stainless steel

So a self tapping screw from the outside? Then just use a washer/gasket? That could work. I was hoping to be leak proof and not have to worry about another area to watch for leaks is all. Thanks

Help with a DPST rocker switch

That sounds like a good idea. I'll wire the outlet alone and see what I get. Problem with the switch I already cut the hole and mounted it in my box. I'll try and post a pic later.

Stainless really does nothing for you in this application. If you can get a higher temp rated pump in plastic for that go for it vs the SS version

Help with a DPST rocker switch

The LED/Lighted switch gets light as soon as I turn it on without a neatrul. So that does not seem to be an issue. As for the GFCI not working. They come "pre-tripped" so they should not work until you reset them. I tried to reset them and they wouldn't budge. So is my wiring sound...

    Keg / Carboy Washer (yes another) . . .

Your local Fleet Farm store. It's a watering pan/tray for large animals. I may go back and get an even larger diameter. Any round tub should work.

    Soldering Stainless steel

will this work for solder and flux? Silver solder no lead. I will be using it to solder a grounding screw inside an element housing. http://www.acehardware.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1290620 Thanks Steve

Help with a DPST rocker switch

Yes. I'm connected to the line not load. SO what I'm thinking now is I have to wire up both hot and neutral wires to the switch and the out to the outlet. as it is now I only have the hot wire coming in and out with the neutral wire directly wired to the outlet.

Help with a DPST rocker switch

I should also mention I have the white neutral wire from the power supply going to the outlet (silver screw). There is no white wire going to the switch. The hot wire form to the outlet again is coming from the switch. Everything is grounded to the box and to the incoming ground wire. Using...

Help with a DPST rocker switch

I am trying to use this rocker switch to power a 20 amp GFCI outlet for a 120v 1500 watt heat stick. It will simply act as a portable GFCI breaker with an on/off switch. What I'm not sure of is witch pins are load and line. I assumed it was two lines in and two loads but I think I'm off...

    All Stainless Heatstick design

I was planning on just soldering a screw to the inside of the 90 elbow for a grounding lug. Is that what you did or did figure something better?

    Keg / Carboy Washer (yes another) . . .

Its not an actual list but it shows you what you need. The parts may vary a bit based on the pump you use. Sorry about the photo I still have not idea how to rotate that from my phone. One edit would be the three parts that are in the top left of the photo, with the threads, (looking at if it...

Is that the same element in post #1 and post #5? The second one looks much shorter. Have you had any issues with the elements them selves? Would you recommend the same element? THanks
