Hey wepeeler, how long does it usually take 2565 to drop out for you? I've been cold crashing a kolsch for over a week now and fined with gelatin, there's still a ton of yeast in suspension. I don't have much experience with this strain..

Yeah, you're probably right. It was reading dead on when fermentation stalled out at 1.024.

Hydrometer and corrected refractometer readings show that it finished at 1.008, so significantly lower than the tilt reading. The tilt is showing 1.011 after cold crashing..

Well, looks like it's done, took a few weeks to get from 1.024 to 1.012.

Alrighty, temp bumped up to 65. Airlock activity has never stopped, just surprised to see the SG hasn't changed in a few days. I can see the hydrometer sample I pulled last night still fermenting as well.

I know this is an old thread, just thought I'd share my current situation with 2565 which is almost identical to the OP's, except I'm fermenting under pressure (20 psi). It chugged down from 1.052 to 1.024 in three days, it's been stuck at 1.024 for two days now. I bumped the temp up from 56F...

I use these on the hot side, super simple to break down and clean. You probably just need a short nipple to connect the valve to your kettles.

Are you talking about their manway gaskets? Have you tried one for the CF lid?

I only did this once, but I filled the yeast brink with starsan, pushed it out with co2, then dumped out the leftover starsan through the ball lock port, then added hops and purged again.
