The bottle fermentation dilmena : how do I avoid the second cloudy glass of beer?

OK, I get it now. I do like my 2 pint bottles, but they do pose a bottle tipping problem, at least with my "normal glasses". I guess I'll get my skull crushers out for the next bottle pour, and see if it helps!

The bottle fermentation dilmena : how do I avoid the second cloudy glass of beer?

No matter the size of the drinking vessel, It would get cloudy near the end of the pour (because of the bottle fermentation yeast deposit). What I am asking is if there is something I could mix in that would make the deposit stick to the bottom of the bottle so I can easily avoid it without...

The bottle fermentation dilmena : how do I avoid the second cloudy glass of beer?

I own a decent sized kegging system, and I keg most of the beer I have brewed so far. But I brew a few festabrew kits that have 6.5 gallons of finished beer, so it is handy to keg 5 gallons and bottle the rest, with priming sugar. The bottles (1l flip top) come out fine (always well...

    Bigger Better Bottle?

I brew the odd Festabrew kit, and they clock in at 6.3 gallons. Been using a 7.9 gallon bucket so far, and that seems like enough volume to avoid blow off, but would really like a carboy, to be able to see the fermentation, and possibly keg under pressure to avoid O2 contact. Does any one...

    Can you lager a pilsner?

Here are the specs for the kit( a bit harsh to call it a kit, it's all grain pasterized wort): Festa Brew Continental Pilsner 23 L OG: 1.0496-1.0504, FG: 1.0096 - 1.0104, Yeast: Saflager S-23, IBUs: 18 I asked about lagering because I thought the Saflager S-23 was an ale yeast, and...

Refilling 5lbs CO2 tanks with paintball refill station

I already own a paintball refill station, dual valve, with a standard female pin valve adapter at the end of the hose. I would like to know if there is an adapter that will convert my female pin valve to a standard female cga320, to I can connect my 5lbs tank to the refill station and refill...

    Can you lager a pilsner?

I brewed a continental pilsner batch, using festabrew wort in a box kit about 4 months ago. At first it was good, but a little cloudy and quite hoppy (I loved it, but it wasn't a majority hit). Now the beer has been kegged in the kegerator for 2 months, and the pint I had today was very smooth...
