So took a hydro reading, it currently at 1005, the condensation on the lid.has stoped and almost no bubbles on the beer, has fermentation.completed in three days or has fermt stopped??
Wow stout is really fermenting hard, the beer is coming out the airlock.damm, I hope the beers come through without top much off flavours. How soon soon did I try the pilsner.
Today was a real scortcher, made to 5gal batches of Coopers Stout and Wilkinsons Pilsner.
Problem is that in both cases I pitched the yeast at around 28.5 deg celcius. Am I screwed? Any help beer gurus
Yeah I used PET bottles, nice cause you can give em a squeeze to tell co2 being produced. I hear what ur saying tintest gap will result in a leak. Thanks again
Update: Time is the key they are lovely and carbonated now, the odd one comes out flat but most seem carved up thanks guys will be more patient for my bottled cider
Cheer Matt I know too hasty, I guess what I'm looking for is carbonation only and rough timescales on carbonation. I kinda assumed 3 weeks for flavours to marry etc.
Was impatient and opened a bottle on Wednesday and there was no carbonation despite having put 2 carb drops per 500ml bottle. Please fellow beer gurus shine your wisdom here.
