Imperial Pale Ale (My 3rd Batch)

Sorry guys/gals no pics in this. I brewed my 3rd batch, Imperial Pale Ale went very smoothly. It was an extract kit from Brewers Best. Says that the ABV will be around 8%!! My quick question is, since the abv is typically higher, is the fermentation a lot more aggressive? The first 4 days...

    My first brew!

Nut Brown Ale! It spent 3 weeks in the primary, now its been in the bottle for a week and a half. I had some over the weekend and it was good! It still needs a lot more time to condition in the bottles but it did have some carb in it. I was told it would taste similar to a Newcastle...

Do you still drink if it's "infected"?

Revvy, That has to be the best explination I've ever read. Thanks for the insight. I'm only two batches into it, and don't think that mine is now, but am just curious.

Do you still drink if it's "infected"?

I've seen tons of threads of batches being infected and producing off flavors and terrible odors. I haven't had an infection yet...knock on wood...but do you guys still bottle it and drink it? Or pour it out and cut your losses and brew another...?? Hope its not a stupid question.
