    New Anvil Bucket Fermentors

So about the volume marks...maybe I figured wrong, but it seems the marks are off by a quart? The 5 gallon mark would be 5 1/4 gallons, the tick below it, the actuall 5 gallons, for example. My "into the fermenter" measurement seemed to confirm this as well.

    CMB V3S faucet

I like mine as well. It has no leaks, but it does stick; it doesn't affect normal operation though. I assume it sticks because the piston broke. You only feel it sticking when you first open it for a pour. Kegconnection is going to replace the part-I told them to wait until I get ready to...

    CMB V3S faucet

Yeah I wonder if I have the same issue with the creamer - sometimes it works better in some pours than others and now, not at all.

    CMB V3S faucet

Yeah, mine dribbles as well on creamer pour; sometimes it's dispenses with more force than others on creamer. I assume this is normal. I fill the glass most of the way, with a normal pour, then push it back to creamer to top off with the smooth head. If it's a longer pour than normal, I do it...

Coleman xTreme 70qt Cooler Mash Tun or old cooler?

Okay, I'd feel much better destroying my old cooler and using the Coleman for camping, since it's bigger and will hold ice longer. (lid shuts better too). If there is no advantage (other than size) of one cooler vs the other, the old cooler being retired as a mash tun, sounds like a good end...

Coleman xTreme 70qt Cooler Mash Tun or old cooler?

So is their any advantage to the drain channel on the xtreme or its better insulating value?(though it seems headspace would negate that?)

Coleman xTreme 70qt Cooler Mash Tun or old cooler?

Hello, I bought the Coleman xtreme 70qt cooler to use as a mash tun (cheaper than the 52 qt version). However, it's such a nice cooler, I almost hate to use it for this purpose because I also camp and this is bigger and would keep ice longer I am assuming than my old cooler. :-) My...

    Cheaper to buy kits

Surprisingly, kits and equipment at my LHBS are on par with online offerings...makes it a lot easier to support local AND he organizes group meetings every month for local brewers. :-)

Boil Volume Answer This, Save the Universe!

Yup I've scoured the forums..this originally started when I was evaluating BeerSmith, noticed IBU's being low on extract kits, which lead me to the equipment profile setup, Brad's videoes, etc...and to this question...the IBU values are closer to the particular style if I take the water...

Boil Volume Answer This, Save the Universe!

No one knows? Pre boil volume, extract brewing in beermith, Extract plus water or water only? Thanks,

Boil Volume Answer This, Save the Universe!

Hello, What does the "boil volume" value of an extract brew consists of in the equipment profile in BeerSmith? Water, plus extract or just water? If water, plus extract, how do I know how much water to add (especially if I am doing partial boils)? I assume using the formula in the...

    Beersmith: Equipment Profile Clarification Plz

Good day, I've scoured forums and watched the videos. I think I have setting up equipment profiles figured out, but would like clarification on equipment profile setups for the following scenarios: an extract partial boil and if you were to follow extract kit instructions word for word on...
