    Green Bullet and Cascade

    Picked up some Green Bullet hopes and wondering what to do with them. Thinking about making an APA and using GB and Cascade at a 2:1 ratio. Anyone tried combining these hops?

    Briess Roast Barley

    Made a stout with Briess roast barley and wasn't overly pleased with the result. This is partly my own fault because I didn't use enough (it's only 300L). To get a good roasty flavor I think I might need to run the % up to 20% or more. Has anybody done this and liked the results?

    Best Cara/Crystal for IPA/APA

    Just wondering which level of caramel malt people think is the "best" when making a hoppy beer. I usually use 40, but I wouldn't mind getting some of the colour of a higher L malt. I know some people don't like crystal malts. That's fine, but I would like to hear from the people who do use...

    Briess Special Roast Malt in Dry Stout

    I'm putting together a dry stout recipe. Has anybody tried using Briess special roast malt in a dry stout? The description of this malt on the Briess website says that it has a sourdough / tangy flavor. Wondering if this might be similar to the Guinness "tang". I've never used this malt before...
