    Show your BIAB Stand/Set up

Black Z, Your rig looks great - how's the controller working out for you? I'd be interested in seeing your filtration setup when it's done - are you going R/O? I made a similar hop spider out of a spare SS garbage disposal flange - it seems to work well, and it's always satisfying to find...

    voltmeter/ammeter

Here's a link to my build thread. https://www.homebrewtalk.com/showthread.php?t=443594 Post 19 has several pics of the inside of the controller, and post 27 contains the wiring diagram. The two green wires are actually the ends of the single wire that is wrapped around the toroidal magnet...

    Simple SSVR-controlled e-BIAB rig

jhobson's right - I put the contactor first because with the main switch off, there's no power to the SSVR or anything else, which seems like the right way to do it. But I also agree that it could be done either way.

    voltmeter/ammeter

I used a similar volt/amp meter too, and it works well. There is a wiring diagram in my gallery, linked in my sig.

From Wa to Az water issues

What the other Phoenix-area guys said. I buy RO water from a water store in Paradise Valley, and I sometimes throw in a bit of gypsum (recommended by my LHBS) and have never been disappointed with the results. I am at the stage in my brewing career where I'm starting to think about water...

    Simple SSVR-controlled e-BIAB rig

errudoh, a picture of your keggle/basket up close would be cool. How did you (or your buddy) manage to cut the hole that close to the edge of the keg? Plasma cutter? I cut mine to fit the lid I bought using an angle grinder and a cutting disk. I got it too small (I was afraid to cut it too...

    SSVR eBIAB Controller Wiring Diagram

I use my 4-wire dryer receptacle for power. This controller does not require 120V for anything, so I just capped the neutral wire from the incoming HHNG cord with a wire nut. EDIT 06/18/2014: Corrected pin labeling on potentiometer (swapped 1 and 3).

    Simple SSVR-controlled e-BIAB rig

I just realized that the wiring diagram I posted is incorrect - it shows pins 1 and 2 of the rheostat wired to the SSVR, not pins 2 and 3, as shown in the Auber diagram (and in the pics of the inside of my controller). The Auber diagram is, of course, correct, so I'll fix my diagram and upload...

    Simple SSVR-controlled e-BIAB rig

I'm in much the same situation as jhobson. My garage is attached and adjoins my laundry room. I thought about adding a spa panel that could just plug into my 4-wire dryer receptacle (and then plug my dryer into that), but decided that my wife, er, SWMBO would prefer not to have that. I installed...

    My Fermentation Chamber Build

Very nice, Dave. Your build is a fine example of "feature creep" gone right!
