Can anyone give me a rough idea of how long they are running in the fermenter before transferring into carboy? It seems as the yeast has finished doing its thing. It was bubbling furiously the next morning.
Centennial Blonde is going to be first all grain. If I understand correctly I need about 6.5 gal of water for 5 gal batch. How much water for should mash, and I guess an hour and then sparge the rest of the water thru?

Looking to do first all grain brew this weekend. Any suggestions on a good one to start with? Looking for light summer type ale. Inexpensive would be a plus too.

Ha ha thanks. It's the back of closet under my stairs. I don't like setting the carboy on the cement. If I need to wait how will I know when it's ready and what did I do to cause it/avoid next time.
