Does anyone have experience using a heating element after a scorching incident? Can the element be cleaned to the point where it can continue service? I now have a fix to controlling power that caused the scorching in the first place.

This is what I used. No freezer to move, holds (2) 5 gal corny kegs and a 5lb CO2 bottle no problem. http://www.danby.com/whirlpool/product/WAR488BSL

My 25' copper counter flow chiller cools 5 gals of wort to 80 degrees in 10 minutes with my standard ground water. I got mine from eBay for $75 or so.

I have an erector set-style stand that was made by Harpo. It is really nice, shippable, and can be set up in 1 or 2 level configuration. He has one that has burner mounting, or flat tiers for electric (like mine). He might be able to help you figure out something that would work.

It is mounted to the studs in my utility room/brewery.
