I brewed a honey cream ale the other night and I've been using a blow off. Well when I came home from work today the tube wasn't in the water in the growler. At most I think I wasn't air locked for 8 hours. Everything seems fine now. Has anyone had this happen and how bad could it be?

I brewed this, had some modifications tomthe malts since my shop didnt have marris otter, added morenorange peel and a full 2 oz of hopsminstead of the 1 3/4 oz. Needless to say its not the original beer by far, I hit 1.090 and dropped to1.020 when I racked to my secondary after a week or so...

Do you think adding oranges or clementines would be good with this recipe?

The recipe was from a local hb supply it didn't give a fg just the og and says to rack after 2 weeks. Why wouldn't I wanna secondary a brown?

So this is my first batch its an English Brown and my OG was right on at 1.040.. I took a reading after a week to see if I'm close to racking my secondary and it was 1.016 this still seems high. Am I still on target to rack at 2 weeks? Just looking for reassurance I didn't screw this up.
