About how many lbs and what hops work best for a cream ale? Been thinking of making one but have never looked at a recipe. I normally make cider or darker beers.
I was wondering if anyone has made something using different
grains from the kitchen. I have a package of Nottingham yeast and I think I also have some S-04 yeast in another spot. I need to use them up, and right now I'm unemployed. I do not want to spend money, or as little as possible on...
I am wondering what happens if you do not rack wine into secondary. I started some strawberry wine, but I have not gotten to rack it yet. I am now wondering if it is even worth trying because it has been two months.
The first week I stirred daily then things happened that it sat for two...
I just bottled a coffee porter today and I am hoping it mellows out in the bottle. I bought it as a beer in a box kit that had everything in it. It said add coffee to taste, which I just added all the coffee I made. Right now all I can taste is bitter coffee masking what was tasting like a good...

Good information I never knew about the more sugar makes it taste more like a wine. I did not know that before. I have everything to start, but I just cut myself at work and got a hand in a splint. When I actually make this now I don't have a clue.
I wasn't planning on carbonating it. Right now i just want to get used to my new equipment is why I decided to make a cider. The dry ciders I have had in the past tasted good to me, and I figured this would make a dry cider.
I have been wanting to get into home brewing for a while and finally got some equipment to do so. I am first planning on making a hard apple cider first. I was wondering what everyone thinks about the way I am planning my first batch. If I should do something or not do something please let me...
