    alcobase

I have recently purchased an ALCOBASE Kit from my local homebrew store. I have not started making it yet but I was wondering if anyone had any time on improving the flavour of it? I ask because since buying the product I have been told it does not come out very nice at all. :mug:

    the difference between kits

I hope nobody thinks this is a silly question but, I have been brewing some of those canned kits like (cooper's, mogan's) and so on. But I just found a brewing springs premium beer kit. Can someone tell me what the difference is between the two, besides the fact that you do not need to add sugar...

    Type of sugars??

Thanks for the input but i am unclear on what priming sugar is used for. Is it for carbonating when fermentation is done and ready to bottler. If so, I was referring to adding the 1 KG of table sugar instead of malt extract enhancer (corn sugar?), As we are not particularilary going for great...

    Type of sugars??

Ok, but are the quantities used the same? Would you still use 1 KG per kit?

    Type of sugars??

What kind of sugar can you use to ferment with? Can you use table sugar bought in bulk from a store or do you absolutely have to use corn sugar with the beer kits?

    brewing temp?

Thanks for the awesome advice. I'll scrap the hotbox idea and build a cold box for the summer. So when you say 0 degrees roughly to ferment at, are you talking celsius or fahrenheit? 0 degrees is basically freezing point. Could we just put the primary in a working fridge? The temp in there is...

    brewing temp?

I'm using the yeast that came with the canned beer kit. We are using the Coopers draught and the Canadian adventure ale. I read in other forums that the fermentation speeds up with higher temps with these kits. Any info on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance guys!!

    brewing temp?

Just wondering what the ideal temperature is for primary fermentation in Canada. The temperature in my garage is around 68 degrees and I want to speed up the process an little bit if I can. I built a hotbox and I was thinking of keeping it around 80 degrees or so. Is this a good idea or not?

    New to homebrew

Hi my friend and I are new to the home brew seen. We have been brewing those pre done can kits. I was wondering if it was ok to bottle after a week of fermentation. We will be checking the fg today tomorrow and friday. If the fg is the same on all three days is it good to bottle? New to all this...
