Nice! Thanks for the info! Would you say the welds are about as good on the Kegland kegs as AEB?

    Corny Keg Showdown

I'm in a sort of interlude with brewing/drinking due to needing the time and energy needed to be a Dad. I'm down to about two 1/2 full corny's and commercial brews are a much bigger percentage of what I drink but that's ok, it's research :-) I've slowly been working towards efficiency so that...

Hotpoint 9.4 from Lowe's. Paid about $400 two years ago but not fully complete until now. Will fit 6 corny's and maybe a mini corny or 2 on the hump. C02 tank in the closet next to it and line comes through to manifold on the wall. Ran lines through the side of the door and insulated with...

Existing hole w/ plastic cover in back of chest freezer door?

Finally finished the keezer a few weeks back. Tough to find time with being a Dad and all but I ended up running the lines through the side of the lid. I used a shorter drill bit for precise angling (so it was lined up to pop out in the right spot) to get the hole started and then used a long...

Aluminum, Zinc, Brass in cleaning applications?

Dry fit the manifold parts (picture below).. Pretty heavy duty. We'll see how the valves/tees all line up when everything is tightened. I may have to use tape to have a little more flexibility, don't have a ton of plumbing experience

Aluminum, Zinc, Brass in cleaning applications?

Soon after posting, I had the same thought as you @IslandLizard, the ball lock posts are essentially shutoff valves when a part is not connected. However, I hemmed and hawed about whether I wanted shutoff valves or not. I definitely need them for the pumps as I'm planning on hooking up a high...

Aluminum, Zinc, Brass in cleaning applications?

I'm planning out a cleaning setup that uses a cleaning manifold and multiple attachment types (1/4 flare shutoff valve, 1/4 mfl shutoff valves, ball lock posts etc). It looks like I can get all these parts on a gas manifold. My last holdup is the materials that the shutoff valves and manifold...

    Hard cider very bitter

Lactic acid is produced by the bacteria used in sour beers, so is that where you're coming from? I would assume the amount of lactic acid from MLF in a cider would be way less. In sour beers, bacteria is converting sugars to lactic acid, whereas with MLF the idea is that the bacteria converts...
