Mine did great right up to December when things started drying out they are still alive but there is a lot of dead foliage. Even with a lack of watering and fertilizer they are trying to start new vines. I'm waiting another week or two before I cut off all the dead and start bringing them back...
Guess its time to invest in a little kitchen scale so I can get a more accurate idea of how much they are producing and if I'm getting them completely dried. I'm not going to give up, I'll see if I can get another "decent" crop again this year I easily have enough room for another 10 plants to...
Thanks for the all the info I guess right now ill stick to the hobby aspect of it, I never really considered going full commercial more like just a little pocket change.
On a first year growth I'd probably got close to a pound per plant but I'll also hand picked the cones and let the plant continue to grow instead of taking the whole vine. While I know this is more labor intensive I also dont mind doing it. I have heard to expect better growth in the following...
Anyone try figuring out a different tap for one of those I usually brew in small batches so these would be perfect for me. So I have been considering purchasing one and making my own tap for it so I could use regular CO2 can and have a remote spout, this way I could possibly have more than one...
Hi all, I'm looking for suggestions on starting to do some growing for intent to sell. I'm down here in southwest florida in the past year have had great success in growing hops. I currently have two cascade plants that I started from rhizomes and they did amazing this past year. Since they...
ya make sure you fan is going otherwise you'll cook em instead of drying them. I could probably get a second harvest out of my plant now but I'm going to wait another week. That thing is loaded with cones and has done much better than anything else in the garden
I'm hoping this large amount of rain we have been getting isn't too much for them, where they are it has good drainage but its been coming down in buckets here.
I did mine of rhizomes and they are doing great so dont give up on your cascades yet, it may take a week or two for them to start coming up but once they get established they'll be ok
