    i have done the newest update and instaled revision C and I'm still unable to connect the temperature sensor to the rasp pi and get an output,. it detects the probe however when i set it for chamber temperature it keeps telling me nothing is connected, and im unable to assign it to ANYTHING...

    Still good. It might take a little longer to show signs of fermentation in your starter. It will grow just fine. I like the Homebrewdad Yeast calculator spreadsheet for this reason (better numbers than Mr Malty) and because I can access it without the internet.

    Stir plates are preferred because it’s easy and efficient. Constant aeration will grow WAY more yeast cells. Look into making one from a computer fan and a cigar box.
