Thanks to @Thorrak and all the contributors on this. I'm really enjoying the new features! I'm assuming the time zone offset is from UTC/GMT. The battery age value is a great feature but I'm trying to figure out how to interpret this so I can tell if I'm close to replacing my battery?
When I was researching my ginger molasses porter, I came across this site: Brewing with Ginger – NC Home Brewing. I used 2 oz. of fresh ginger and it was noticeable. I think I’ll use a little less next time. If you’re unsure about the flavor, start low.
I used my TiltBridge for my last brew and it worked great! My only question is regarding the date and time reported to Google Sheets. It seemed to be off by 2 days and 2 hours? I can't seem to figure out how I did that... I assumed it simply used the time from the network/internet as it's...
@Thorrak - I'll send you the zip file in a PM. I'm afraid I don't always "get" GitHub. I was very happy when you made the flashing software!
I think the use of the threaded inserts may be a disadvantage for some. It uses 7 each #0-80 (McMaster 93365A102, $12.23/100) and 4 each #2-56...
Heat-staked inserts from McMaster-Carr (we use them at work). The holes in the circuit boards are so small, it’s hard to use anything self-threading. It uses #0 for the boards & #2 to hold the base to the top.
I could provide STL files. Is this the best place?
Okay, thanks! Apologies for taking this a little off-topic, but I’ve been curious about the amounts of ginger in various recipes. You’d think that being from Charlie P. and published in Zymurgy it would be pretty tasty, but I’ve been burned by that before...
@hafmpty - I’m curious how the Ginger Dinger turned out? I’m thinking of brewing it too, but from what I’ve read 8 oz. seems like quite a lot? Any feedback is appreciated!
I've done both. This time, even though I tared it in water, it wasn't reading the same as what I measured with a hydrometer and thermometer so I input those values.
I'm using this on my current brew side-by-side with the Tilt App on my iPad and just noticed that the values reported by TiltBridge match the uncalibrated output. No doubt the App is making the adjustment for calibration. Is this something that could be incorporated into the TiltBridge...
