    Venting steam in my basement

thanks! That sounds pretty simple and easy and is how I prefer to keep it.

    Venting steam in my basement

My window is 20 feet away from the brewing area, finished area, not somewhere I want a pipe running through. I do have the ceiling joists open, I was trying to avoid another vent on the outside of the house, but this may be the best option. For a 8-10 foot run of pipe (which I can do if I go...

    Venting steam in my basement

The window is not close to where I am brewing so I don't think that is a feasible option for my setup.

    Venting steam in my basement

I am in process of building a brewing area in my basement, I currently use electric brewing and was wondering about venting. I am not sure I want to drill another hole 4-6 inches in my brick exterior to vent a range or condensation hood to the outside. Is there any way to have a...

    Hop IBU Injectors?

I found a couple of these in my freezer. Likely 2 years old. What is the shelf life of them?

Installing gas struts to the lid

That is extremely helpful, thank you.

Installing gas struts to the lid

For those of you who use gas struts to help open the top of the keezer with either the original lid on top of collar or a coffin build, how do you calculate where to attach the ball joints on the collar and then onto the lid? Mine were simple 16 inch, lightweight struts from amazon I want to...

Brewing and Kegging Cold Brew Coffee

Question about freshness. How long under pure nitrogen do you think the keg will remain fresh. I don't think my wife and I can kick a keg in a few months....Do you think it would last 3-6 months?

    Thoughts on my ipa recipe

I personally would simplify it and stick with 80-90% 2 r-row 5-10% crystal 10-20L <5% carapils or a 80% 2-row, 10% munich, 5% crystal, <5% carapils. Hops seem good to me, I would add an extra 1oz citra at flame out too.

    Kegerator Recommendation

I like the K309 model on the beverage factory website. I agree with the poster above....try to think ahead and get something you can grow into. IMO there is nothing worse then a year down the road realizing you spent $500-800 and have now run out of room. I myself was debating with 2 of...

    Setting up Nitrogen taps

So by the sounds of it, if I only want to deal with 2 tanks and not 3, I need to either pick wine on tap or having a beergas set up. Hmmmm....decisions decisions.

    Setting up Nitrogen taps

I am currently in the process of building a keezer and was planning on both CO2 and Nitrogen. My ideal plan would be to have both beer and wine on tap. For wine I have read that I can keg and purge headspace and push with nitrogen. However if I also wanted stouts/low carb beers served...

    Looking to Upgrade Brew Kettle

What do you boil on? Propane burner or stovetop? Is there any chance you will go up to 10 gallon batches? There are mega pots that the price difference between a 10-15 gallon is $50 bucks with the options you are looking for. Try to future proof whatever you buy and buy once and be done...

    What's worse?

What about sanitizing the boil kettle and racking it into that. Clean out the fermentor/resanitize and rack back into it to allow it to settle some more?
