    Primary fermenter leaking

If you read enough post by the ELDERS on this site you realize it's never a loss, and I definitely agree with Jaycount. However still call DeFalcos because I think you might have gotten a bad sealed fermentornlid.. They should be able to simply replace the lid.

    Primary fermenter leaking

Gotta figure that the seal isn't good, call DeFalcos and see what they say. I've had some crazy fermentation, but never leaked.

Yo Senior 6, you might want to answer the question. And why Senior 6, Senior Fire Fighter? Thought you made Captain, but then again you aren't the senior in your house?

    Revvy Surgery?

Since I'm a noobie I figured I would post this question here. Has anyone heard how Revvy's surgery went on Monday? He's been such a huge help to me. Thanks.

Sam Adams Summer Ale Clone Recipe?

That's usually who I order from, but being in Houston though I was hoping to be able to go to my LHBS to avoid shipping costs. I'll probably wait til a buddy needs to order and piggy back on his order, any order over $100 shipping is free, and they have AWESOME customer service.

    bottle labels

Ok, this will be the first time, and last I hope, that I ever disagree with Revvy. "Overnight" my arss, I filled an ice chest with the recomended mix fo Oxyclean, put bottles in, walked away for 20 minutes and when I returned the freaking labels were floating. Now when I put another batch of...

    Checking Gravity During Fermination

Only a couple days more, but I am sure that you are ready to get back to normal, whatever that is. Doctors these days do these types of surgeries so often now, its almost like them doing a rectal exam, easy and some like it.:D

    Checking Gravity During Fermination

Thanks Revvy, it did seam to go against common sense, but also seamed damn easy. But I do have two questions: 1) How are you feeling? And I wish you the best, in what, two days, damn. Many prayers for you. Not sure of your faith but hey.... 2) Secondly, when you pull the sample out of...

    Gravity Checks in Bottle?

I actually posted a different thread with the same question, wasn't getting too many reponses with this one. Anyway, a Senior Member, ThatGuyRyan responded with the following answer: "I really wouldn’t trust that. Fermentation depends on a lot of things and total volume, shape of fermenter...

    Gravity Checks in Bottle?

How soon do you think you will know? I put it in the primary last night, and was planning on checking it every 3 or 4 hours, just kidding, I'm impatient but not that bad. I do want to hear your what you come up with especially if its in the next few days,or week.

    Checking Gravity During Fermination

I was watching a You Tube video from Home Brewers Outpost where he explains that you can take a small amount of beer (enough to get a reading in the test cylindar) out of the primary just after pitching your yeast, and keeping it in a bottle for future gravity checks. This way you don't have to...
