I've always wondered when people start the fermentation clock.
I've always figured the next day as day one
Are you a day of pitching or day after clock starter?

I don't really start a "clock". I watch what's going on in my fermentors.
If you need a standard I'd say day one is when you pitch your yeast.

Pitch is time zero. 24 hours after pitch is 1 day after pitching. You're tracking time from the pitching event. There is no other reasonable alternative (I boldly state, realizing it could be the first time on HBT that anyone has ever escaped with such a definitive statement).

Just your basic non scientific trivial question.
I usually finish brewing around 5 or 6 at night and have never seen activity before going to sleep.so I say ..."Meh,next day is day one, lets call it that"
