Hey guys,

I plan on brewing a Oatmeal Stout hopefully this weekend and would just like some feedback on your favorite strain for this style and why? Thanks.

I've used the Irish Ale, WY1084/WLP004 (Guinness); and it was good. But I haven't tried any other yeasts in an Oatmeal Stout so I can't really compare. I know the Guinness is a Dry Stout and an Oatmeal Stout is usually closer to a Sweet Stout but it still came out really well imo. I've used Pacman yeast in Foreign Extra Stouts...but that's a whole 'nuther aminal.:) I prob wouldn't use the Pacman for an Oatmeal Stout.
