I recycle the yeast after fermentation, and once washed store in my beer fridge in the garage. We recently had a number of friends over and the beer fridge was used for storing some food. I had two washed yeasts in the fridge, a Belgian Ale and and English (Burton) Ale. Unfortunately they were not labelled, got moved around, and know I don't know which is which. Any suggestions on how to tell them apart?

Brew a batch and split it in between 2 fermenters and pitch one yeast in each. Based on the FG and flavor hopefully you would be able to tell after fermentation is complete. Worst case scenario, you end up with some beer and have to buy new yeast.
