Do you all think that's too little tubing for good HEX? It's by far the cheapest pre-coiled SS i've seen, and money is a little tight right now.

It's for use in 15.5 gallon keg. Thank!

At 7.25" diameter and 12 "loops" I calculate that's a 25' chiller.
I run a 50' 1/2" ss hex and am not sure halving it would allow my HLT temp to be as close to the mash target (typical differential is under 2°F).

Otherwise, the biggest issue I see is how you're going to fix that inside a keggle. Even simply spreading the coils on my hex was an ordeal (it came fully compressed, tube-to-tube gaps = zero). You'll need to do some serious "reforming" to fit that to a keggle...

I have seen people double immersion chillers as drop in herms could without issue. Might work.
