Hi everyone,

2nd Batch. Using my wort chiller, Copper immersion style, when the intake hose just busts loose from the copper, spraying hose water into my perfectly cooked stout. Very Angry Indeed!

Has anyone had this happen to them? I just put the stout on a ice bath. Chilled it that way and am hoping for the best.

I haven't had it happen, but it is very common. I siphon ice water through mine rather than running water through with pressure. Cools my wort in ~12 minutes. I double check my hose clamps before chilling the wort. Tap water is probably sterile, so I think you are likely OK. Only time will tell...
