So I ordered a Nostalgia Electrics KRS2100 Kegorator Beer Keg Fridge that uses D-System Kegs... What is a D system keg and where can I buy them? I have looked at the large home brewing supply stores and I find ball lock kegs and and pin lock kegs. I can find D System couplers and taps, but no kegs. (My next hunch is that D System is the standard and that is why they aren't called out...). Anyway, if someone would shed some light on this, I would appreciate it!

Sankey "D" is the industry term for the coupler type used on most kegs used in the US in a commercial brewery.

Regional and lager breweries use this type. A smaller local brewery may use second hand kegs that may use a different coupler. However, most locals probably use the "D" coupler as well due to the industry standard.

Beer from outside the US will more than likely use a different coupler.
