I just brewed a Pale on Friday, everything went great, but fermentation started very active within 8-10 hrs, no worries I set up a blow off and avoided a mess. My question is this, fermentation has eased a bit and it's safe to remove the blow off and put in my airlock, but everything that was in suspension bubbled up to the neck during the first day, do i use something, sanitized of course, to push all that trub and hop material back down into the wort or do I just let it stay there? My first few brews weren't as active so i haven't seen this before, I've just gotten the krausen ring just below the neck.

Thanks for any help!

Like John Lennon said "let it be". Just leave more headroom next time... I think people obsess over this too much (headroom)
