Forcing pure o2 into a starter?

If you use a stir plate, you can just crank it to high for a few minutes so that the vortex aerates it. Works well. If not, you could always just shake it a few minutes. Not too much need for an oxygenation system here.
 
I notice a pretty big difference in the starter when I use O2 - it seems to ferment a little faster and it seems like there's more slurry.
 
I tried it and have yet to notice a difference visually. I pitched 9hrs ago and plan to pitch the starter in about 14 hrs.
