I just purchased one of those Cool-Brewing coolers and I was wondering how to attach a digital thermometer to my carboy so it reads accurately. I already have a stick on thermometer on my carboy, but I don't want to keep opening and closing my cooler to check the temperature except to replace ice packs. I placed my one meat thermometer on my carboy with duct tape and the temperature was reading 89 degrees when my stick on thermometer was reading 70 degrees. Should I use foam and then duct tape or is there a special type of digital thermometer that I need to use to get accurate temperatures for the inside of my carboy?

thermowells are nice for getting temps from inside carboys, buckets, mash tuns etc...

Oh and why is this in the announcements and feedback section???
