Can anyone here direct me to publications documenting the earliest production of "coffee liqueur"? I know ethiopia had coffee in the 15th century....trying to tie in the fermenting into the cordial....including the process of fermenting.
I'm attending a dinner and we are all bringing something that is period to the 1400's - 1600's and I thought about bringing my home brew of coffee liqueur.
