Hi guys i´m building my first keezer on a budget and i received a very nice pair of 5 pounds Co2 extinguishers from a friend for free and i´m planning on replacing the original valve for one i can connect to a regulator i searched over the web and i found on amazon this two:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01KIDNABE/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01GW30DG4/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20

wich of these valves will be the best for the steel cilinders i have?
anyone who has already made this kind of conversion that could give me a hint?

These are two different size necks and for two different types of metal (steel vs. aluminum).

My first job was repairing fire extinguishers. I would recommend a valve made for steel with tapered threads. The CO2 pressures are quite high, so you'll need a good vise to ensure you can get the valves out and seated properly.

To be honest, don't mess with this. I would go to your local fire equipment / extinguisher company and have them do it. They will have the right equipment to ensure it's safely done. You'll need them to refill it anyway. If you can't find a company, look at the tag on the extinguisher at your workplace, it should have someone's name/number on it (even if it is dry chemical as opposed to CO2, most companies should be able to due both). They also could hydro-statically test your cylinder if it's needed (all cylinders have a lifespan and need re-certified).
