i have a friend who's allergic to hops. he wants beer. i'm planning on a couple test batches of sahti and froach. i live at the jersey shore. no juniper here. all i can find online is decorative juniper boughs that have been coated in glycerine. anyone know where i can purchase (relatively) fresh juniper tips with berries?

Juniper berries may be easier to find. Idk about the boughs...maybe a nursery? Juniper is what gives gin it's flavor. Sounds like an Ace Frehley beer...Cold Gin!

I'm not sure about the tip, but I have seen juniper berries in stores (I think it was whole foods). If you have any specialty shops like that, you might have some luck. You can also order them online...just type it into amazon
