I dry-hopped an IPA with some Amarillo and Simcoe for about 9 days. I just kegged it tonight, and I noticed a strong grassy note in the aroma. It's not nearly as present in the flavour, but it's quite noticeable in the aroma.

Will the grassy aroma fade, or am I stuck with it?

it'll fade. that's why it's suggested ipa's are drank quick, if you like the way they are. try it again in 2 weeks. if you don't like it still, wait another 2 weeks. it'll be different then

I normally dryhop for 3-5 days if I can, because I don't like the grassy aroma from prolonged dryhopping, although I've gone as long as 7 days with good results for some hops varieties.

I've heard 10 - 14 days was safe for dry hopping. That's why I was surprised at the grassy note after just 9 days. I think going forward, I'll limit it to a week.
