I've been making soda syrups for a while and I thought I'd contribute to what looks like a thriving community!
This was my latest recipe:
Syrup:
2 ¼ cups sugar
1 -8 oz can strawberry nectar
¼ cup lemon juice
¼ tsp ground ginger
¼ tsp strawberry extract
This makes enough syrup for one gallon of carbonated water. I've just been force carbing water in a keg and adding the syrup after.
I have been bottling it but it's a trick to save enough of that carbonation, and I'm too impatient to wait for yeast.
