Ok So I'm looking to build a new sparge arm and I was gonna go with copper. However copper us very expensive so I was thinking of useing pvc instead. I don't know if pvc is safe to run 170 degree water through without leaching chemicals from the plastic. I would appreciate any information on this topic you guys can give me. Thanks in advance for the help.
Cheers

Cpvc is what you want to use not regular PVC, but even a few feet of copper is less than $5

I'm on the edge of switching out the cpvc on my manifold and sparge arm. cpvc works fine and is cheap but the connections that you leave unglued for cleaning get loose over time. Copper can be bent just a hair to keep separable fittings snug.
