So I'm now drinking my first two brews! A Russian Imperial Stout and a standard IPA! The RIS is awesome and so is the IPA, but the IPA has a crazy carbonated head to every bottle so far! Any suggestions on why the head is so strong and the carbonation and crazy head??
 
Did you use a priming calculator ? I have had one batch where it was severely over carbed. Have not made that mistake again with using a priming calc. I also keg now.

It was an extract kit so I used the priming sugar provided!

It fermented for over 4 weeks and checked gravity 3 times the last week 2 days between each check and gravity never changed, so I'm pretty confident fermentation was done. But maybe not.....
