I need another pump. My current pump is an 815 with an inline head. Is there any downside to center-inlet pumps? I can't think of any reason to get the inline models anymore and will probably just get center-inlet models from now on. Any advice appreciated.

Some people don't like the fact that the inlet is 3/4" NPT instead of 1/2" NPT (but the flow rate is still better even if you immediately reduce to 1/2"). It costs a couple bucks more. Obviously it'll impact your plumbing layout, but that could be a positive or a negative, depending on your setup. Aside from that, no downsides that I'm aware of.
