We built a kegerator out of a Chefmate 87h fridge and have been using it for several months. We are now looking at putting a tower on the top of the fridge but don't have an owner's manual since we bought the fridge from someone.

Does anyone have any experience with a Chefmate 87h? If not, does anyone have any recommendations for putting a tower on the top? It does have a freezer cooling element and we carefully bent the freezer down so it's not in the way. We also drilled a hole to allow the gas line in without an issue. We're wondering if it has compressor lines or heat exchanges in the walls and top as we really do not want to puncture any of the lines. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Not too sure about that fridge specifically. If you want to check the top for refrigerant lines you can plug in the fridge for about an hour then smear a paste of corn starch and rubbing alcohol on the top. The heat from the lines should make the mixture dry faster over the lines. If you're worried you can also drill just through through the inner lining and dig out the insulation to make sure you don't hit any lines or wires.

Not sure how much help that was...

Did this fridge work? Im thinking about buying a used one from cl for like 50 bucks.
