Classic Red Tail is BACK
It is with a bittersweet note that we nod our heads in respect to Red Tail Ale founder Michael Laybourn who recent passed. He would be proud to know The Legend is Back!
In association with Master Brewer Don Barkley and Mendocino Brewing Co, Mendocino Beverage Co LLC has been granted limited rights within the Mendocino County area to make the Raptors fly again!
Contracted with Napa Smith Brewing for the startup, the first of several small batches of the Amber elixir rolled out on Nov 16, and will only be available at two locations in Ukiah, and two locations in Hopland, including at the original Hopland Brewery on Hwy 101.
Those who remember about this legendary brew will be happy to taste very important factors in the original flavor and to see the element of "craft magic" in small brewing has returned home.
Look for Red Tail's big brother "Eye of the Hawk" to return to its classic roots and a whopping 9.0 ABV in late December 2018.
