So each year a group of my buddies get together and have a college reunion. There are only about 6 or 7 of us and we are all in our later 30's with kids. I am hosting it this year and have been busy getting the pipeline filled and ready with homebrew. The event is July 4th weekend which makes my last possible brew day at the beginning of June. I have some beers already brewed and have time to do at the most 3 more. I am a hophead, but I want to have a variety for the group. It will be probably in the 90's as far as weather goes. Here is what I have for sure:

1) ESB (if I don't drink it all)
2) Blonde Ale
3) Pliny clone
4) Normal Stout
5) Pale Ale
6) Strawberry Wheat
7) Edworts Apfelwein

My tenative list of 3 more is:
8) Witbeir
9) Cream Ale
10) California Common

I am not too familiar with some of these. I tasted the Blonde Ale after 2 weeks and it tasted "different". I will let it go a bit longer to give a final judgement. The 3 beers that are on my tenative list, are they very similar to some that I already have? Is there something I am totally forgetting? With 10 brews and the fact that it will not all be consumed in 2 nights, my pipeline should be good.

Thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated.

Cheers

All of that looks great. I think the cream ale and the Cali common are good choices for BMC drinkers, along with the pale and blonde ales you already have. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Pliny clone is an IPA, right?

You could think about a nut brown, or something similar, but really I think your list looks pretty good as is.

I don't thnk your initial qustion was a call for recipes but I thought I would throw two of my most well liked beers as suggestions:

This first one is a wit with just a bit of citrus taste without being sweet. It goes down very easily in hot weather.

This is my most popular beer with all of my friends. I always have it on tap for parties.

This last one is a very popular recipe for a cream ale style beer for BMC drinkers that are a bit uncertain about homebrew. It is Biermuncher's recipe that has a very quick turn around time. I have been making it with white labs american ale or with wyeast cream yeast to give it a bit of a lager taste.

Yes the Pliny the Elder is a double IPA

Thanks for the ideas and recipes. So it sounds like Cream Ale and CA Common would be the same thing?

I think I will try the wit recipe. I have never used sweet orange peel and bitter orange peel. How do I go about doing this?

I think my final 3 beers will be that Wit you suggested. Maybe a Hefeweizen and a dark IPA.

Appreciate the suggestions.
