I got tired of the of time it took to connect and disconnect my plate chiller (as well as the lack of swiveling connections), so I decided to spend some cash to make this a whole lot quicker and easier. It wasn't necessarily cheap, but I figure I'll have more time to make more beer and that will be worth it.

Obviously, some of these will vary depending on your setup, but here's what I used:

Wort In
Watts Garden Hose Adapter LFA-668 3/4" MH x 1/2" FIP
Gilmour Quick Connect Set Female Side to Chiller
Watts Garden Hose Adapter LFA-679 3/4" FH x 3/4" MIP (tapped 1/2 FIP)
Watts Brass Hose Barb LFA-385 5/8" ID x 1/2" MIP

Wort Out
Watts Garden Hose Adapter LFA-668 3/4" MH x 1/2" FIP
Gilmour Quick Connect Set Female Side to Chiller
Watts Garden Hose Adapter LFA-679 3/4" FH x 3/4" MIP (tapped 1/2 FIP)
Watts Brass Pipe Bushing LFA-828 1/2" MIP x 3/8" FIP
Watts Brass Hose Barb LFA-294 3/8" ID x 3/8" MIP

Water Out
Gilmour Quick Connect Set Female Side to Chiller
Watts Garden Hose Adapter LFA-679 3/4" FH x 3/4" MIP (tapped 1/2 FIP)
Watts Brass Hose Barb LFA-385 1/2" ID x 1/2" MIP

Water In
Gilmour Quick Connect Set Male Side to Chiller
Watts Adapter LFA-396 1/2" ID x 3/4" MH

Backflush Hose
Gilmour Quick Connect Male Only
Watts Garden Hose Adapter A-673 3/4" FH x 3/4" FIP
Watts Brass Hose Barb LFA-495 5/8" ID x 3/4" MIP
12" of 5/8" ID Braided Hose
Watts Brass Hose Barb LFA-495 5/8" ID x 3/4" MIP
Watts Garden Hose Adapter A-673 3/4" FH x 3/4" FIP
Gilmour Quick Connect Male Only

I did a hybrid - SS camlocks on the wort side and brass hose QDs at the end of shut-offs on the water side. The up side is no brass in the wort path, and I can adjust the water flow locally instead of at the hose bib; the down side is I had to make up a couple of hose-to-camlock adapters for flushing out the wort side after brewing...

Cheers!
