I brewed less than 24 hours ago and just noticed a small puddle (2-4 oz) under my fermentor (bucket). I don't see any activity in the air lock yet. US-05, 1.062 OG, 62.5 degrees in my basement.

I think the best solution is to mix up the trub, hop debris, and yeast into solution and dump the whole thing into another fermentor.

I don't think I need to worry about oxygen yet. I was actually considering hitting it with some O2 since I haven't seen any action.

What do you guys think?

Thanks.

I think at less than 24hours you are probably ok if it gets a bit of O2. Your plan sounds good to me.

Thanks for the feedback.

A few minutes ago I was about to transfer the wort to another fermentor, but I saw the airlock burp. I am going to leave it alone. If the yeast has already started working, I don't want to mess it up.

If I lose 20 oz of beer, I am okay with that.
