I've had a full beard since '00. My wife loves it, and man do I hate shaving. My face always ended up looking like a strawberry patch when I got done.

Rocked a full beard for nearly 15 years now. Sometimes its long, sometimes its short, but I haven't shaved completely in 15 years or more. I never leave the house with out at least a stache.

I got a pretty long goat right now it has been growing since new years, maybe 5 to 6 inches long. It has has become a new years tradition in my neck of the woods. My fiance and brother all count down to new years and cut it off in front of friends and family, it goes down in a hail of cheers and enthusiasm, then the next day i feel like i lost an arm or something.

More and more people are coming around on new years to see the amputation ceremony:cross:

The wife is never patient enough to wait out the scratchy phase of the beard until it's soft, so I only have a beard during hockey playoffs. Being a Caps fan, that is a very short time.

I've noticed a few people around these parts talking about beards. Then found this dead thread. Trying to resurrect it as I've had a 5" goatee I would braid in my late teens early twenties, can't find any pics of its awesomeness though. Then trimmed goatee. Since been married grew a trimmed beard. Twice went 2 months with out shaving for a 3 in full beard. Had to shave a few months ago for job interview I didn't get.

Non-beard angry. First time in 8 years clean shaved

Yep. Goatee going. Wish it would grow longer but I'm getting the worst split hairs so it never grows over 1.5". SWMBO would never allow me to go full beard or have anything resembling a stache :fro:

I used to be clean shaven. I got a job in the summer of 2005 working for a golf course, and I had to get up at 4:30 every morning to shave. I soon decided this was for the birds, so I exchanged ten or fifteen minutes of shaving time for sleep. I had it grown out where I wanted within two weeks. I've kept it ever since, with one exception where I wasn't paying attention and trimmed it too short. My wife wants me to shave so she can see what it looks like, but I've got no plans to do that anytime soon.

I grew it out further a couple winters ago so I could dress up as St. Nicholas for Christmas, but I later trimmed it back down to its normal length.

Used to own a beard and very silly moustache, but the beard seriously looked awful. Glad it's gone, and I'm sure everyone I know is glad to see the end of patchy pube-face. Of course now I'm fat, which I wasn't before, so clean shaven isn't a big improvement. Beards look better on fat guys, and the clean shaved look looks better on fit guys.

Recently decided to update the full beard I've been wearing since I was 17 by turning it into a circle beard with sideburns.

Ha most of the time I would've voted yes. I hate go shave. But i just got sick of being itchy, it's 90f today so I'm actually clean shaven.

Every year... while the Red Wings are in the playoffs. My wife doesn't like the beard but roots for the Wings with me anyway.

It's not a beard until you can braid it!

Not a current picture, nowdays it's just a 13-ish cm goatie, 'stasch and sidebruns. In the picture, those are three braids.

My nick, Onihige, means beard demon btw in Japanese.

Have wire for beard, baby's arse skin for face! And, beard itches. I'm screwed.
Re: nose hairs: Had Panasonic ER411 schnoz hair trimmer. It was a gift, wonderful trimmer! Reached everywhere and cut 'em short.
So, it died. Do you think I'd have enuf brains to get the same model?
Bought a Phillips Norelco NT8110. Com-pleeeee-te POS! It does cut, just nowhere near the end of the cutter tube. You have to stuff this thing so far up, you find yourself watching to see if it's gonna come out the top of your head. And it misses those loooooonnnnggg grey ones, which wait until you're talking with someone to come whipping out your hooter like a rat's tail. You can see it in their face.
Thanks for oppty to trash this thing!

Sure don't. I'm on the tattooed side of homebrewers. You know, we're either bearded, tattooed or both.

I fall into the neither side. But I will have a tattoo once I get down to my target weight and I wish I coudl grow a beard. Is there a separate category for those who long for a beard or tattoo?

I'm sporting a beard right now but this Texas heat is making me contemplate trimming down.

Every Saturday morning, my wife and I make a visit to Starbuck's on the Square in Woodstock, Illinois [known as the location for filming "Groundhog Day"]. In good weather people sit outside and talk with passers-by. One Saturday, a gentleman with a mustache and goatee...kinda like mine...jumped up, walked toward me, shook my hand warmly and asked, "How do you get the beard and mustache to match your hair color?" As you can see from my avatar, the hair that is left is quite white, as is the beard and 'stache.

I thought for a moment, smiled at him and said, "EXPERIENCE!"

Always hated shaving, would use the sideburn trimmer during college to keep it short and stubbily until joining thw working world. Have played with the beard concept for the past couple years, succeeded in a beard over a month and looked like a rapist/child pornographer a couple years ago. This winter decided to try the beard again since I am lazy and can grow one within a week. Keep it at where the 1/8 inch attachment for the head shaver will chop it. More like a little over 1/4 - 1/3 inch. Good coverage and I keep getting compliments. I think I will keep it here.

I had a beard for over 15 years, then it started going gray. Couldn't handle the gray beard yet, too vain I guess. I miss it, and someday I'm sure it will be back for good.

Now that's just silly. Gray in a beard is awesome. Only part of getting older I'm looking forward too.

The goatee was getting a little scruffy, so did a big trim back Sunday morning - used the shortest attachement on the clippers. Kind of like being less hairy.

Im growing a full facial coverage at the moment, try to keeper trimmed to an inch though. I'd have to shave twice a day to stay clean shaven
